You know I had a thought...

Is it just me or do you get totally embarrassed seeing George W. Bush at international events?

Just seeing him at that Pope's funeral makes me long for the day of Bill Clinton or even Ronald Reagan. Even if you didn't agree with their politics they at least made you feel like you were in the presence of a world leader. They at least understood that people can have honest differences. Unfortunately that is not the case with Gee-Dub. You're either for him and/or us or an enemy of the state. A close minded approach to world politics is a recipe for disaster.

Did we learn anything as a nation after invading Iraq? Maybe the world's opinion does matter, it might not mean everything, but if you've got friends who care about you and they're telling you what you're about to do is a bad thing that maybe you ought to listen.

And what was the deal with the government getting involved with the Terry Schiavo case? Wasn't that enough of a tragedy? Do we really need the Bushes (George and Jeb) telling us that we promote a culture of life? Isn't this is that same President that went to war with (at the very least) bad intelligence? How many people died because of that?

Culture of life, yeah right... as long as you agree with him.
